jScott Ward was hired as the first Director of Coaching for the Rapids Soccer Club in 2003. Scott is a UEFA B / English FA Level 3 and a USSF B license holder. He first came to the USA as a Regional Coaching Director with Challenger Sports Corporation out of Kansas City. His first assignment was in Rhode Island where he headed up the New England region and worked on the Rhode Island Olympic Development Program (ODP). Scott moved to Austin, Texas in 1999 and was employed with Challenger Sports as Regional Coaching Director for South Texas.

During his time in Austin, Scott has worked as Senior Program Director with the Longhorn Soccer Club and as a trainer with Lake Travis Elite and Hays Fusion. Through the work with his own company, Premier Soccer Academy, he has launched numerous coaching programs in South Texas.

Scott is an Assistant Coach with Texas State University Women's Soccer. He started his work alongside Head Coach Kat Conner in 2003 and has won a Southland Conference Tournament Championship title in 2004, helping guide The Bobcats to an automatic NCAA bid where they played nationally ranked Texas A & M. In 2006, he was on staff as the Bobcats finished runners-up to McNeese University.

In England, Scott has worked with the Academy program of EPLs Aston Villa. As a player, he had professional trials with both Birmingham City and Walsall Football Club in England, as well as with United Soccer League, team Rhode Island Stingrays, in the USA.

Scott graduated from Leeds University in 1995 with a 1st class with honors in Sports Science and Kinesiology. He also played at collegiate level with Leeds University.


jDarren Lenton began his career in England where he was a Youth Player in the World Famous Manchester United Schoolboy Program. He went on to play professional soccer for Bolton Wanderers F.C. and for a number of Semi-Professional teams before deciding to make his home in the United
States.

For the last twelve years he has dedicated himself to the art of coaching. He has coached Division One Club Soccer in both the Austin and San Antonio area and High School Varsity Soccer where he won a State Championship for St. Michael's Academy. Also, he has spent three years in California coaching in the strongest region in the country, CYSA. There he was fortunate enough to work with CYSA Program Director of the Year, for both girls and boys, Clint Greenwood and the Santa Anita Soccer Club. Working as an Assistant to Clint Greenwood, he learned a wealth of soccer expertise taking in different and revolutionary styles of training and coaching from all over the world, including Brazilian, French and Dutch.

During his time in California, Darren Lenton has had the prestigious chance of working with National and Regional players, which helped him, hone his own style and direction that he now brings to the Rapids.

Darren is USSF licensed and holds an FA coaching certificate.


Scott and Darren are extremely excited and dedicated to use thier vast credentials and professional experience to launch One Two Soccer into a worldwide phenomenon.
